ADIB fixed deposit rates for August 2026 were 0.64% a year for one month, 0.66% for three months, 0.68% for six months, 0.71% for nine months and 0.76% for twelve months on Investment Deposit Account balances from AED 10,000 to AED 10 million, rising to 0.67% to 0.86% above AED 10 million. The Short Term Investment Account, which has daily access, paid 0.52% to 0.55% in the same month, and the ordinary Savings Account paid 0.28% to 0.30% in July 2026. All are Mudaraba accounts, ADIB publishes the actual distribution every month, and the only way to earn more at ADIB in 2026 is the Ghina campaign, which offers an expected 5.25% on at least AED 50,000 of fresh funds until 31 October 2026.

Every ADIB deposit product and what it paid

ADIB runs six retail deposit products for individuals and publishes a monthly customer profit rate for each, with a 24-month history on one page. The table below uses the most recent month shown on each product page when we checked, July 2026 for the savings family and August 2026 for the investment accounts, and the minimum balance each page states. ADIB does not offer a retail Wakala deposit; the Wakala product on adib.ae is for business customers, so the fixed deposit that most searches mean is the Investment Deposit Account. The bank accounts hub lists the equivalents at every other UAE bank.

The rates are tiered by balance. On the Savings, Ghina and Xpress accounts, AED 5,000 to AED 10,000 earned 0.28%, AED 10,000 to AED 25,000 earned 0.29% and anything above AED 25,000 earned 0.30%, identically in AED, USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, CAD and JPY. Banoon paid 0.31% to 0.34% across four tiers up to and beyond AED 250,000. The Short Term Investment Account paid 0.52% from AED 10,000 to AED 500,000, 0.53% to AED 2 million, 0.54% to AED 5 million and 0.55% above that. The month-to-month movement is small but real: the Short Term account paid 0.57% to 0.60% in June 2026 and 0.48% to 0.51% in February.

3 months0.66%0.70%
6 months0.68%0.77%
9 months0.71%0.81%
12 months0.76%0.86%

Those are the August 2026 actual distribution rates for AED and USD, and ADIB printed the same figures for EUR, GBP, CHF, CAD and JPY deposits. July 2026 was one basis point lower at every point, 0.63% to 0.75% for the main tiers. The product page says the account can be opened for one, three, six, nine or twelve months; the Personal Accounts Key Facts Statement, version 13 of October 2026, adds 24, 36, 48 and 60 month terms. No rate for the longer terms is published on the rate page, so ask the branch for the declared rate on a 24-month deposit before assuming it exceeds 0.76%. At maturity the amount is reinvested, and you choose whether distributed profit is paid to another account or rolled into the deposit. You can also take ADIB financing up to the amount deposited.

How ADIB's Mudaraba pool and declared rates work

Every deposit above is a Mudaraba: you are the capital provider (Rab al Maal), ADIB is the manager (Mudarib), profit is shared on pre-agreed ratios and loss is borne by the depositor unless the bank is negligent. The ratios come from ADIB's Announcement of Profit Distribution Method dated 1 December 2022, which the product pages link. For savings accounts opened through online channels the bank's share is 15% and the depositor's 85%; for Ghina accounts with takaful protection the bank takes 10%; for other savings accounts the bank takes 7.5% and the depositor 92.5%; for other Mudaraba accounts, which covers the Short Term and Investment Deposit accounts, the split is 20% to the bank and 80% to the depositor.

ADIB publishes the resulting customer profit rate for each product every month on its Customer Profit Rates page, and each product page carries the latest month with the statement that the figures are actual distribution rates and that future months may vary under the Banking Services Agreement. Savings profit is calculated monthly and credited monthly; the Short Term account calculates daily and credits monthly; the Investment Deposit pays at the end of the chosen period. The Smart Account page explains the reserve mechanism: any achieved profit not distributed goes to a profit equalisation reserve for that tier. The expected profit versus interest explainer is the place to understand why a declared rate is not a promise.

The Ghina campaign: 5.25% and 5.55% explained

ADIB's headline savings number in 2026 is not a declared rate. From 1 July to 31 October 2026, a new Ghina Savings Account funded with at least AED 50,000 of fresh money, meaning a net increase in your total ADIB balances compared with 30 June 2026, carries an expected profit rate of 5.25% a year; a new Ghina Salary Account with the same fresh funds and a salary transferred within 90 days carries 5.55%. The campaign terms change the Mudaraba ratio to 99% for the customer and 1% for the bank on the new money, use an indicative pool rate of 6% that is not guaranteed, and pay the campaign amount, inclusive of the ordinary monthly distributions, within 60 days after the campaign ends. The qualifying balance is capped at AED 25 million and is measured each month against your 30 June total.

Ghina also runs draws: a AED 1 million grand prize every three months, ten AED 10,000 prizes, ten AED 5,000 prizes and 25 AED 2,000 prizes each month, with automatic takaful protection. The declared Ghina rate outside the campaign was 0.28% to 0.30% in July 2026, the same as the plain Savings Account, so the product's value in 2026 is the campaign and the draws rather than its base rate. Our ADIB review covers the account's fee waiver for AED 5,000 salary transfers.

Short Term Investment versus Investment Deposit versus a horizon

  • For money you may need within a month, the Short Term Investment Account is the only choice: daily access, AED 10,000 minimum daily balance to earn, no fall-below fee even at zero, and 0.52% to 0.55% in August 2026 against 0.28% to 0.30% on the Savings Account.
  • For a six-month horizon, the six-month Investment Deposit paid 0.68%, which is 0.16 percentage points above the Short Term account, in exchange for giving up access until maturity.
  • For a one-year horizon, the twelve-month Investment Deposit paid 0.76%, or 0.86% above AED 10 million, and reinvests automatically at maturity unless you instruct otherwise.
  • For salary earners with AED 50,000 of new money to park until October, the Ghina Salary Account's 5.55% campaign rate is several times any declared rate on this page, provided the money is fresh and the salary arrives within 90 days.
  • For a child's money, Banoon paid 0.31% to 0.34%, slightly above the adult savings account, with the minor account exempt from the fall-below fee.

ADIB has no retail Wakala deposit to compare, which removes the usual trade-off between a Mudaraba's actual rate and a Wakala's expected rate that applies at DIB and Emirates Islamic.

ADIB against Emirates Islamic and National Bonds for the same tenor

Emirates Islamic declared higher standard rates than ADIB at every point for Q2 2026. Its three-month Investment Term Deposit paid 0.55% on balances up to AED 100,000 and 0.65% from AED 100,000 to AED 3.5 million; six months paid 0.60% and 0.70%; one year paid 0.70% and 0.80%; two years paid 0.85% and 0.95%. Its e-Savings Account, which like ADIB's Short Term account has no withdrawal limit, paid 0.50% from AED 5,000 and 0.80% from AED 50,000, and a limited offer to 30 November 2026 lifts it to as much as 6.00% on an additional AED 50,000 to AED 5 million. ADIB's twelve-month 0.76% sits between Emirates Islamic's two tiers, and ADIB's Short Term 0.52% to 0.55% beats Emirates Islamic's e-Savings 0.50% only below AED 50,000.

National Bonds competes through Term Sukuk: a lump sum of AED 10,000, a choice of 3, 6, 9 or 12 months, monthly profit payouts, capital protection under a Mudaraba structure, and entry into its AED 36 million rewards programme. Its page says anticipated returns are updated weekly rather than printed, so the rate must be read in the app on the day; we could not verify a figure. DIB, for a third reference, declared 0.48% on a one-year investment deposit for Q2 2026, below ADIB. The UAE savings rate comparison ranks every bank on the same tenors.

Fine print: minimum balance gates, fees and early withdrawal

The gates are explicit. Savings, Ghina and Banoon accounts need AED 5,000 to be eligible for profit in a month, and the tariff board states that monthly achieved profit is distributed on the first day of the following month. The Short Term and Investment Deposit accounts need AED 10,000 to open and AED 10,000 to earn, and the Short Term account carries no cheque book or ATM card. A fall-below fee of AED 25 plus VAT applies to current, Electron, Savings and Ghina accounts in any month the daily closing balance drops below AED 3,000, waived for accounts linked to an ADIB finance instalment, pensioners paid into ADIB, Ghina Salary accounts with a AED 5,000 salary in the past three months, Mazaya customers and minors' accounts. Closing any current or savings account within six months costs AED 100.

Early withdrawal from an Investment Deposit is at the bank's discretion. The Key Facts Statement says that by waiving the cooling-off period the bank is not bound to accept liquidation before the investment period ends, and that in special cases it may allow withdrawal in consideration of a Takharuj amount to be agreed. No formula is published, which is a weaker disclosure than DIB's printed forfeiture schedule, so ask for the Takharuj terms in writing before placing a long deposit. The savings account fine print guide lists the equivalent gates at other banks.

Verdict: where to put AED 10,000 and AED 100,000 at ADIB

With AED 10,000, open the Short Term Investment Account rather than the Savings Account: it pays 0.52% against 0.28%, keeps daily access, and has no fall-below fee, and its only cost is the absence of a debit card, which your current account already provides. With AED 100,000 and no need for the money for a year, the twelve-month Investment Deposit's 0.76% is the highest declared rate ADIB publishes, but Emirates Islamic declared 0.80% on the same amount and tenor, so the difference is small and the choice can follow where you already bank. With AED 50,000 or more of genuinely new money and a salary to move, the Ghina Salary Account's 5.55% campaign to 31 October 2026 is the single best published rate at ADIB in 2026, and it expires.

If you want a return that does not depend on a campaign, Emirates Islamic's standard tiers are higher at every tenor and its e-Savings has no withdrawal gate. If you want monthly payouts on a short lump sum with draw entries, National Bonds' Term Sukuk is the product to price in the app. Set any two against each other on the comparison page. Frequently asked questions

What is the ADIB fixed deposit rate right now?

For August 2026 ADIB's Investment Deposit Account paid 0.64% a year for one month, 0.66% for three months, 0.68% for six months, 0.71% for nine months and 0.76% for twelve months on balances from AED 10,000 to AED 10 million, and 0.67% to 0.86% above AED 10 million. The rates are actual Mudaraba distributions published monthly, with the bank taking a 20% share of pool profit. Future months can differ.

What is the minimum amount for an ADIB investment deposit?

AED 10,000, according to the product page, the tariff board and the Personal Accounts Key Facts Statement, with tenors of one, three, six, nine or twelve months on the product page and 24 to 60 months in the KFS. The Short Term Investment Account also needs AED 10,000 to open and a AED 10,000 daily balance to earn profit. The ordinary Savings Account needs AED 5,000 in the month to be eligible for profit.

How much does the ADIB savings account pay?

In July 2026 the ADIB Savings Account paid 0.28% a year on AED 5,000 to AED 10,000, 0.29% on AED 10,000 to AED 25,000 and 0.30% above AED 25,000, the same in AED, USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, CAD and JPY. The rate was unchanged in every month of 2026 shown. Profit is calculated and credited monthly, the bank keeps 7.5% of pool profit on branch-opened accounts and 15% on online-opened ones, and balances below AED 5,000 earn nothing.

Is the ADIB Ghina 5.25% rate real?

It is a campaign expected rate, not a declared one. From 1 July to 31 October 2026 a new Ghina Savings Account with at least AED 50,000 of fresh funds carries an expected 5.25% a year, or 5.55% on a Ghina Salary Account with a salary transferred within 90 days. The bank's share drops to 1% on that money, the pool indicator is 6% and not guaranteed, and payment arrives within 60 days after the campaign. Outside it, Ghina paid 0.28% to 0.30% in July 2026.

Can I withdraw an ADIB investment deposit early?

Only with the bank's agreement. ADIB's Personal Accounts Key Facts Statement says the bank is not bound to accept liquidation of an Investment Deposit before the period ends, and may allow it in special cases in return for a Takharuj amount agreed at the time. No percentage or formula is published, unlike DIB's printed forfeiture schedule. The Short Term Investment Account avoids the issue entirely because it allows daily withdrawals while paying 0.52% to 0.55%.

Does ADIB or Emirates Islamic pay more on a one-year deposit?

Emirates Islamic, by a small margin on standard rates. Its one-year Investment Term Deposit declared 0.70% on up to AED 100,000 and 0.80% from AED 100,000 to AED 3.5 million for Q2 2026, against ADIB's 0.76% on AED 10,000 to AED 10 million for August 2026. Above AED 10 million ADIB's 0.86% edges ahead of Emirates Islamic's 0.80% tier. ADIB's Ghina campaign at 5.25% to 5.55% and Emirates Islamic's e-Savings offer at up to 6.00% are both limited promotions.
